COURSE: 10- & 30-Hour Construction Safety & Health Course

DURATION OF COURSE: 10 or 30 hours

PROGRAM GOALS
This course introduces OSHA policies, procedures and standards as well as construction safety and health principles. The course will review the scope and application of the OSH Act and General Duty Clause, as well as examine areas that are most hazardous.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive an OSHA construction safety and health 10- or 30-hour course completion card.

At the completion of this training session, the participants will be acquainted with the following information:

  • OSH Act/General Duty Clause
  • General Safety and Health Provisions
  • Competent Person
  • Electrical Safety
  • Cranes, Derricks, Hoists, Elevators and Conveyors
  • Scaffolding & Fall Protection
  • Stairways and Ladders
  • Personal Protective Equipment
  • Fire Protection and Prevention
  • Confined Spaces

Course Materials:

At the conclusion of the class, each participant will take a written examination and complete a course evaluation.

Each participant will receive a comprehensive safety manual which will include a digest of the Cal-OSHA regulations for easy reference.
