COURSE: Confined Space Entry

COMPLIANCE REFERENCE: T8 CCR 5157 and 5158, 29 CFR 1910.146

DURATION OF COURSE: 16 hours

PROGRAM GOALS
The primary reason workers die during confined space entry is because of lack of thorough training. The goal of this program is to comprehensively address, in both theory and practical exercises, the vital knowledge necessary to safely participate in Confined Space Entry Operations.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:
At the completion of this training session, the participants will be acquainted with the following information:

  • Review and evaluation of current systems
  • Cal OSHA regulations
  • Permit and non-permit required space entry procedures.
  • Hazard identification and control
  • Atmospheric testing and monitoring
  • Ventilation
  • Assignment of responsibility
  • Entry permit system
  • Emergency procedures

At the conclusion of the class, each participant will take a written examination and complete a course evaluation.
