COURSE: Hearing Conservation

DURATION OF COURSE: 1 hour

PROGRAM GOALS
The goal of this workshop is to inform employees of the benefits of a Hearing Conservation Program and the purpose of Audiometric Testing.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:
At the completion of this training session, the participants will be acquainted with the following information:

  • Noise: its effect on health
  • Noise level measurement
  • Causes of hearing loss
  • Noise control methods
  • Hearing Protection selection, fitting and care
  • Physiology of hearing
  • Purpose of Audiometric Testing Article 105

At the conclusion of the class, each participant will take a written examination and complete a course evaluation.

Note: This course will include lecture, discussion and video presentations.

Annual refresher training is required by law.

Noise level surveys and mobile on-site audiometric testing are also available.
