COURSE: Lead Awareness Level Training

DURATION OF COURSE: 4 hours, 8 hours if Respiratory Protection is included.

PROGRAM GOALS
The purpose of this course is to teach employees how to identify, and utilize safe work practices in response to lead exposure while performing their duties.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:
At the completion of this training session, the participants will be acquainted with the following information:

  • Health effects of lead
  • Exposure monitoring
  • Engineering and work practice controls
  • Respiratory protection
  • Protective equipment
  • Safe Work Practices
  • Medical monitoring and medical evaluation
  • Periodic exam and/or biological monitoring
  • Medical removal and chelation

At the conclusion of the class, each participant will take a written examination and complete a course evaluation.
