COURSE: Welding and Compressed Gases Safety Program

COMPLIANCE REFERENCE: T8 CCR 4799, 29 CFR 1910.251

DURATION OF COURSE: 4 hours

PROGRAM GOALS
Although most welders have previously completed a trade apprenticeship program, the law requires employers to conduct and document training efforts. The purpose of this program is to review the hazards and Safe Work Practices, and perform an inspection of the work area.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:
At the completion of this training session, the participants will be acquainted with the following information:

  • Arc Welding Safety
  • Gas Welding Safety
  • Hazard Identification and Control
  • Personal Protective Equipment
  • Fire Prevention
  • Work Area Inspection
  • Compressed Gas Cylinder Safety

At the conclusion of the class, each participant will take a written examination and complete a course evaluation.
