Class Objectives:

At the completion of this training session, the participants will be acquainted with the following information:

  • Safe work practices in laboratories
  • Safety inspections
  • Health and hygiene
  • Fume hoods
  • Housekeeping
  • Unattended operations
  • Working alone
  • Accident reporting
  • Emergency procedures
  • Protective Equipment general principles
  • Fire extinguishers
  • Eyewash and safety showers
  • Safe Work Practices with flammable materials, corrosive materials and compressed gasses.

At the conclusion of the class, each participant will take a written examination and complete a course evaluation.
