COURSE: Machine Guarding

COMPLIANCE REFERENCE: T8 CCR 3203, 3314 and Articles 37, 41, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 54, 55, 56, and 58.

DURATION OF COURSE: 8 hours 

PROGRAM GOALS:

The goal of this course is to provide a wide spectrum overview knowledge to Supervisors, Managers and Maintenance Personnel on the importance of effective machine guarding methods.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:
At the completion of this training session, the participants will be able to:

  • Familiaze themselves with the various OSHA Machine Guarding Standards.
  • Identify machine guarding hazards in theri workplace.
  • Describe the various machine guarding methods applicable to their application.
  • Perform audits and inspections to determine the ffectiveness of their machine guarding program.
  • Implement an effective machine guarding program.

At the conclusion of the class, each participant will take a written examination and complete a course evaluation.
