This course is intended for all drivers who transport hazardous material in over-the-road vehicles. Since the majority of hazardous materials are transported by motor vehicles, and the majority of hazmat accidents are on the nation’s highways, all over-the-road vehicle drivers must participate in Driver Training, General Awareness, Function-Specific and Safety training. Drivers must also meet the requirements of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. A Commercial Driver’s License with a hazardous materials endorsement is also necessary.
