Regulatory & Safety Program Management for Supervisors

The goal of this program is to increase the awareness of basic accident prevention methods. It teaches how to develop, implement, and maintain an effective safety program. This program will provide individuals with safety responsibilities the current methods of safety program management and a solid comprehension of Title 8 California Code of Regulations 3203. THIS PROGRAM IS A MUST FOR ALL SUPERVISORS, MANAGERS, AND LEAD PERSONNEL

Class Objectives:

At the completion of this training session, the participants will be acquainted with the following information:

First Session

  • Legal aspects of occupational safety and health
  • Accident causes and methods of control
  • Review of company’s Safety Program and discuss strategies for improvement
  • Safety committee organization

Second Session

  • Fundamentals of safety and accident prevention
  • Hazard recognition
  • Safety inspections

Third Session

  • Job safety analysis
  • Conducting employee training and documentation
  • Accident investigation
  • Supervisors’ responsibility in accident prevention

Fourth Session

  • Overview of regulatory and program requirements for Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, Emergency Preparedness and Hearing Conservation
  • Review/Written Exam

At the conclusion of the class, each participant will take a written examination and complete a course evaluation.
